July Believe 17:11 Outing

When:  Saturday, July 19, 2008
Where:  Christian Family Day - Cardinals vs. San Diego Padres at Busch Stadium
Time:  Game is at 2:55 pm; meet at Hope at 1:00 pm
Cost:  $32.25 a person which includes shipping/handling fee for tickets (we'll sit in either the Pavilion Box or Outfield Terrace Box, hopefully all together!)
There is a concert by Casting Crowns along with testimonies given by Cards and Padres players.  If you wish to attend, please get your money to Rachel Baker by no later than tomorrow, Monday, July 7th.  On the 7th (after 9 pm that evening), I will purchase tickets for those who gave me money.  I cannot purchase a ticket for you without the money.  If for some reason the $32 seats are sold out by then, I will contact you to see if it is okay to purchase the $39 seats.  Kids are welcome too!  If you have any questions, contact Rachel Baker at 314-814-7256.

 

 

 

 

VBS registration begins today!!!  Sign up at the Information Center today for this year’s exciting AMAZON EXPEDITION!

 

 

Order your VBS T-shirts Today!!!  Shirts are $10.00 each.  All kids 4yrs thru 6th grade can order a green shirt.  We are asking all volunteers to   order Orange shirts.  Orders will be taken today and next Sunday at the Information Center.

 

 

 

Help! We are sending a supply plane to the "Amazon Expedition" and we need your help to fill it! Please check the VBS bulletin board located right outside of the nursery. There you will find needs posted. Please take one, purchase the item and return it, along with the original note to the VBS collections box right next to the board. Thank you so much for your support!

 

 

Our volunteers are awesome!  Some give one night and some give 5, but all give their time and love to our kids to bring them closer to Jesus!  Each evening during VBS, a few volunteer names will be drawn to get a prize, just a small thank you. In years past we have been privileged to give things like Gateway Grizzlies tickets, car washes, Arbonne products, movie passes, restaurant gift certificates, a Science Center Membership and the list goes on.  We are asking for donations of any kind along these lines. If there is something you would like to donate, please call Juan Richey at 282-3882 or stop by and see her at the Information Center before the 10:30 service each Sunday during the month of July!  The more things we collect, the more we can bless others! Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

 

Discovering Hope Class

If you are new to Hope or you haven’t yet received teaching on what Hope believes about the Church, Christianity, the Bible, the Lord’s Supper, and partnering in ministry with the body at Hope, then this class taught by    Darrell Jones and Greg Malcom is for you.  Join them on Sunday, July 13th, at 4:00 p.m.  Sign up at the Information Center.

 

 

"Discovering Your Ministry" class

Do you desire fulfillment in life and fruitfulness in your ministry?  You can understand the purpose you were created for when you understand the kind of person God created you to be.  Our "Discovering Your Ministry" class will be held on Sunday, July 13th, at 4:00 p.m. and is designed to help you understand your Spiritual gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, and life Experiences and to see how these fit together to understand God's purpose for your life and His design for your ministry in His body. Kids are you Ready???  It’s Camp Time!!!

Camp Registration forms are available at the Information Center.  Pick one up today, fill it out, and send it directly to the camp.  If you need a partial or full scholarship, please contact Ananda Yarbrough.  If you feel led to donate toward the     scholarship fund, please mark your checks “Camp Scholarship”.

 

Cooks for Camp

Hope has been asked to provide help in the camp kitchen on Wednesday, July 16th and Thursday, July 17th.  2-4 volunteers will be needed each day.  Volunteers should arrive at 10:00am and stay until after the evening meal, which is served at 5:00pm.  We need help cutting up veggies & fruit and preparing the salad bar, helping with desserts, and serving meals.  If you can help, please contact the church office or sign up at the Information Center.

NEW TEAM FORMING

Do you enjoy photography and welcome the opportunity to use your camera skills?  We are forming a team to take pictures of baptisms on Sunday mornings. When:  July 11-12 at the Scottrade Center
